January 2026 Employment Law Update

Debra Dyleski-Najjar, Esq. presented her monthly legal update on January 8 as Legislative Director of the Greater Merrimack Valley Human Resource Association.  Topics covered in the January legal update included: a review of recent DOL Opinion Letters, recission by the USDOL of the Biden era Final Rule regarding displacement of Federal Contractors, recent USDOL resources designed to assist employers with Davis-Bacon payroll reporting requirements, EEOC efforts to encourage reporting of reverse discrimination, OSHA Letters of Interpretation, changes to the H-1B Lottery system and a new Executive Order regarding the rescheduling of marijuana as a Schedule III drug.
